Seeking Help

Help, is a word we often use at times of distress and loneliness, when we have nowhere to look, no one to listen. At times one enters into a state of despiration, when alone, we feel afraid and unsure. In today’s reading, Esther, is in such a state, despirate and distressed she turns to God. She asks for help, before she speaks with the King of Persia. A daunting and challenging task itself. Perhaps even more challenging, is our submission for God. It is at such moments that Christ’s words, encourage us to do so: “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
