Transfiguration

“This is my Son, the Chosen One. Listen to him.” These words show us that the Transfiguration gave Jesus another affirmation of his Father’s love. In a few weeks time we are reminded again of the Father’s love,”For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” Many might associate Lent as a sad period, or a rather depressing moment in our Catholic life. In fact by way of reflection on God’s word, one can see that Love is at the very heart of the Lenten period. Constantly we are reminded that in order to be true Catholics we have to leave our old self and transform into God’s children. As St Paul said: “… the Lord Jesus Christ,
who will transfigure the wretched body of ours into the mould of his glorious body, through the working of the power which he has, even to bring all things under his mastery.”
